Arrival in Barnaul, reception at the airport. The beginning of the expedition tour, transfer to Kazakhstan border. Border formalities. Overnight in a hotel;

Transfer to Ust-Kamenogorsk. Ferry across the Irtysh. Overnight in tents;

Dirt roads begin. Transfer to Lake Zaysan. Setting up an expedition camp at Cape Shekelmes;

Rest day on lake Zaysan. Walks along the coast, photo and video shooting, fishing. Overnight in tents;

Active day. Moving along the picturesque mountain roads to Lake Markakol. Overnight in a hotel;

Driving along the famous Austrian road laid in the mountains. Further along the dirt road to the Berel River. Overnight in tents;

The first half of the day is free time. Photography, walking. Then transfer to Barnaul. Overnight in a hotel;

Transfer to the airport of Barnaul.

Weather

Steppes, deserts and mountains prepare participants for different weather. Central Asia is under the influence of an anticyclone during this period: there is dry, warm weather. Daytime temperatures range from +14 C ° +22 C °, at night +4 C ° + 12 C °. In mountainous areas it is possible to change the weather to cyclonic: rain, wind for a short period of time.

Requirements

The expedition tour is conducted under the supervision of experienced travellers/guides. Considering the mountain conditions, long car removals, it is recommended to consult a doctor beforehand. The expeditionary conditions require to disregard comfort.

Note

The route is long and extended, and goes through the difficult mountain roads; in the expedition schedule changes and actions according to the situation are possible. The group leader determines daily crossings and the route, taking in account weather conditions and terrain features.
